First politician in the family
Emily found out today that she won her election at school for student council. The posters she put up at school said,"Don’t settle for anything less than the Best! Vote for Emily Best". Emily had to really do a fair bit of work to qualify for the election. Emily had to get 40 nominations from classmates, two faculty nominations, a interview, and a speech to the student body over the pa system. Way to go Emily! I am very proud of you.

Short work week…
Only one more day of work left this week and then I will have the rest of the week off for Thanksgiving. One small bonus in working for a school. It will be very good to an extended break from work. Wednesday all of my family will be making their way up to Michigan. My Mom and Dad will be coming with my sister as well as my brother Nate his wife Rachel and their two daughters Hannah and Abby. It will be a lot of fun to be together. It has been a while since we were all together. We are planning on busting out the old family "slides" and showing them via projector. It will be a laugh and a trip down memory lane all in one.

Lisa Garner Update
I just wanted to let everyone know that the motion hearing scheduled for
this Monday November 20th has been postponed. Apparently, the prosecutor is
unable to make it now on Monday so the hearing has to be reschedule. At
this time I do not know when the new date will be. I will be sure to keep
everyone informed as soon as I have any more information. Thank you so much

Sam meets Detroit Animal Cops
Today at school Sam was able to meet two of the Agents from the Discovery Channel Show "Animal Cops". Sam ans some of her friends spearheaded a fund raiser at school called "pennies for pups". They raised over $100 for the Michigan Humane Society.
