to describe the budget crisis that has state government facing a

Sam is sick

I am home today with Samantha. She has been running a fever of 102 off and on since Sunday. Syndie stayed home with her yesterday and I am with her today. We just came back from the doctors office and she has a positive case of strep throat. So now she is on penicillin and will be able to go back to school tomorrow. In case in you had not heard Meijer does not charge for penicillin prescriptions.

Family Outing in Detroit

Here is a Google Web Album of our trip to downtown Detroit today. We went to a Tigers game, ate at Johnny Rockets, rode the People Mover, went to the River Walk, and saw the inside of the Ren Cen.

family fun day on sunday

Sunday the whole family is going to see the Tigers play the Kansas City Royals. Angela Hospice was having a group day so Syndie and I were going to go with her work group and then some other people canceled and our kids get to come for free with their unused tickets. I think we might do some other sight seeing while we are in down town Detroit.

a first for me

Tomorrow I am officiating a wedding at Western Golf and Country Club in Redford. I do this sort of thing all the time. The first for me is, the ring bearer for the wedding party is a dog named, Robbie. I hope it works for them. I told the groom he should tape a treat to the toe of his shoe to help coax the dog down the aisle.
